  The Hikers Day Pack Trail is cut like a running vest, which is what makes it work on the fells rather than on the flat. The contoured straps and the waist webbing hold it against your back on a rough descent, so you can move at pace without the pack arriving a beat behind you. Nylon over a polyester lining keeps the empty weight low and takes the gorse scrapes and dry stone wall knocks that come with a Peak District right of way. The mesh side pockets hold bottles, and the front cord carries a wet jacket outside the main compartment. It is rated for hiking, camping and cycling, so the same pack does the ride in and the Saturday route. It packs down small enough to live in the boot of the car for the days when the weather turns good on the way home.
