What keeps a tent dry inside?

A taped flysheet, a groundsheet that curves up the sides rather than meeting the wall at floor level, and enough ventilation to carry away breath. Most damp mornings come from condensation, not leaks: four people breathing overnight release a surprising amount of water, and it settles on the coldest surface. Opening vents at both ends, even in cold weather, does more for a dry inner than any coating. How is a family tent dried before storage?

Bone dry, always. A tent packed damp grows mould within days, and mould eats the waterproof coating rather than just staining it.
