  The compartment, not the bladder

  Read hydration compatible literally. What comes with the vest is the sleeve, the exit at the shoulder and the loop that stops the tube swinging. The reservoir itself is not on the specification, so budget for one.

  Heat and weather

  Honeycomb mesh runs across the back and the shoulders, which is the difference between a damp shirt and a soaked one on a long climb. The tube exit is an opening in the shell with no flap listed, so rain gets in through it. Keep a phone in a small dry bag.
