Sleeping Bag Liner

A liner does three things well: it keeps the inside of your sleeping bag clean, it closes the draughts that run along the stitching, and it adds a layer. What it does not do is turn a summer bag into a winter one. Anyone who has slept in one will tell you the same, so we would rather say it here than let you find out on a cold night.

These are new products, not graded surplus, and we describe them from the maker's specification rather than from handling them.

Read the width before anything else

The most common complaint in this category is a liner that grips the shoulders inside a bag that fits perfectly well on its own. Width is the number that decides it, so every listing here gives it in centimetres. Some of these liners are cut narrow on purpose to follow a mummy bag, and two of them are only 40cm across. That is fine if you want a close cocoon and wrong if you turn over in the night.

About the fabric names

Silk-feel is not silk. Hollow cotton is not cotton. We publish the fibre the maker states rather than the name on the label, because a liner sold as one material and delivered as another is the second thing buyers complain about in this category.

About temperature figures

Where a maker gives a temperature figure we print it and say whose it is. Some of those figures are generous. Treat them as a claim rather than a measurement, buy on the comfort end of any range, and remember what a liner is for: an extra layer and a clean bag, not a season upgrade.

What we give on each listing

• The fibre: what it is actually made of, in the maker's own terms.
• The dimensions: length and width in centimetres, narrow cuts included.
• The weight: in grams, because a liner is a second item in your pack.
• The closure: zip, open sheet or cocoon, as the specification gives it.
• The bag: whether a storage or compression sack is supplied.

Delivery and returns

UK delivery is free. Orders are processed within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 10 to 20 business days. Returns or exchange within 30 days of delivery, unused and in original condition, approved before being sent back, with the refund issued within 7 days of acceptance. Return postage is paid by the customer.
