The Hikers Day Pack Hydration Compatible holds a shell layer, food and a bladder, with the drinking tube free and both hands on your poles. The vest cut and the spine support keep the load flat against your back on broken ground, and the mesh harness moves air on a long climb instead of trapping it. Outside, the bungee cord takes a soaked jacket or the poles you have just collapsed, so the dry kit inside stays dry. Hard-wearing nylon over a polyester lining handles the gorse and the dry stone walls, and the whole thing packs down small enough to live in a bigger rucksack until you push for the summit.
