Sling Bag

A sling bag rides on one strap, across the chest or over one shoulder, and it is meant to be swung round to the front rather than taken off. That single strap is what you are really buying, so each listing says whether it is padded, whether it adjusts, and whether it can be set for either shoulder.

These are new, unbranded bags. We describe them from the maker's specification rather than from handling them.

The buckle sees more wear than the strap

A sling is not worn for twelve hours the way a rucksack is. It goes on and comes off dozens of times a day, at a desk, in a car, at a checkpoint or a barrier. That cycle lands on the buckle, the slider and the anchor points rather than on the fabric. Where a specification names the fittings, quick-release buckles, D-rings or webbing anchors, our listings name them too.

Left shoulder or right

Which side you carry on is not a detail. A bag that only sets up one way is wrong for half the people who buy it, and it is the kind of thing you discover on the first morning. A few take an eight inch tablet flat. Where the maker publishes no dimensions at all, and several do not, the listing says so instead of guessing.

About water

A bag worn on the outside of your body takes rain first. These close with zips and their seams are sewn, so we describe them as water-resistant. For a phone or paperwork that has to stay dry, use a sealed pouch inside.

Delivery and returns

UK delivery is free. Orders are processed within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 10 to 20 business days. Returns or exchange within 30 days of delivery, unused and in original condition, approved before being sent back, with the refund issued within 7 days of acceptance. Return postage is paid by the customer.
