The MOLLE rows across the front carry a bottle pouch, an admin pouch or a first aid kit outside the main body, and the hook-and-loop field above them holds a unit or team patch. Mesh pockets down each side keep a water bottle within reach, the reinforced grab handle takes being thrown into a car boot, and the 16 inch laptop compartment turns the same bag into Monday morning kit. On a cadet exercise or an airsoft weekend the same thing decides it: kit carried outside the main body, and seams that hold when the bag is packed full.
