  No bladder is listed as supplied with this pack, so plan on buying one unless a 2L reservoir is already in your kit. The sleeve and the tube routing are there; the reservoir is the part to confirm you own. It is the commonest disappointment in this category and the easiest to avoid.

  Keeping a bladder alive

  Reservoirs fail at the tube and the cap far more often than along their seams. Rinse yours after every outing, dry it hanging open, and never pack it full underneath heavy kit. The shell shrugs off a shower and no more, so a phone belongs in a sealed case.
