  Foam that cannot puncture or delaminate

  There is nothing to inflate and nothing to fail. The closed-cell IXPE foam will not spring a leak, will not delaminate into a blister, and does not care if you drag it over gravel or set it near a fire. That is why bushcrafters and cadets keep a foam mat in the kit even when they own an air one. Unroll it, lie down, roll it up in the morning. At 345 g it is one of the lightest ways to get your body off the ground.

  Warm enough for the right nights

  Be honest with yourself about the season. The egg-crate grooves trap a layer of air for real insulation, and the water-resistant surface stops damp wicking up, so it handles mild to cool ground well. For hard frost, thin foam alone can let cold through, so stack it under an air mat or pair two foam mats to add warmth. At 189 x 57 cm it covers you head to foot, and it comes in Gray, Orange or Blue.
