  What you actually get

  This is a roll-up ground mat, not an air bed. There is nothing to inflate and no valve to fail. You unroll it, lie down, and roll it back into the straps when you move on. The 600D Oxford fabric carries a PVC coating that keeps ground moisture off you, and the Level 1 barrier means damp grass stays where it belongs. At 2 metres it covers you head to foot, even if you are tall, and at 650g it rides light on a bergen or daysack.

  Where it works best

  Use it for cadet weekends, airsoft, festivals and any night where you want a fuss-free layer under your bag. A fabric mat like this trades some cushioning for reliability: it cannot puncture and it cannot delaminate, so you never wake up flat.
