  About the hydration port

  The pocket and the tube outlet are built in. A bladder is not listed as part of the package, so count on fitting one you already own. The other thing worth knowing before a wet walk: that outlet is an opening in the pack, no storm flap over it is described, and rain tracks in through exactly that kind of hole.

  Light, and what light costs

  At 640 g the pack disappears until you fill it. What you trade away is volume and any reinforcement beyond the coated nylon, so keep the load modest, sit the dense weight high against the padded panel, and let a zip close on its own.
