  Where the extra centimetres go

  At 270 cm long, two people can angle themselves across the fabric rather than lying nose to toe down the centre, which is where shoulders get pinched and a ridge forms along your spine. The 140 cm of width leaves cloth to spare on both sides, which is what a side sleeper needs.

  Two bodies, still cold underneath
