  Three shelters in one pack

  Some nights you want to hang between trees, some nights there are no trees and you pitch on the ground, and some nights you just need cover from the rain. This one kit does all three, so you carry a single 1.2kg package instead of three separate setups. The reinforced nylon takes a 200kg load and the 270 by 140cm sleeping area gives taller users room to lie at an angle rather than folded into a banana. The integrated mosquito netting keeps midges and mosquitoes out while the mesh still lets air move.

  Sort the cold before you hang

  When you use it as a hammock, remember it will feel colder underneath than on top, because your weight flattens the insulation beneath you. Slide a sleeping mat inside or run an underquilt below, and the cold stops being a problem. We tell you this now so you are not caught out at 3am. The first pitch takes a little practice with the net and lines, then it is quick.
