  A dry bag you can wear

  The shape tells you what it is. At 73 cm tall and 33 cm across, the body is a tube that loads from the top and closes by rolling, with a harness and a padded back added so you can walk with it. There are no lid pockets and no second entry, which is why the top is the only place water has to get past.

  Pack it in the right order

  Last in comes out first, so food and a jacket go on top and sleeping kit goes to the bottom. Roll the closure down several turns before clipping, then pull the side straps in until the load stops moving. The seams are stitched rather than welded, so in prolonged rain the needle line is where water eventually gets through.
