  Weight you can ignore

  515 g is less than most single foam rolls, and you get 6 cm of air instead of a thin slab. The 195 cm length suits sleepers up to about six foot, so check your height before you buy. Honeycomb chambers spread your weight across the mat rather than letting hips and shoulders press through to the stones.

  How the air goes in

  The double non-return valve keeps what you have already blown in while you refill your lungs. No pump is supplied: an inflation sack is optional, and without one you should budget a few minutes of breath. A 40D nylon shell is light rather than indestructible, so clear pine cones and sharp stones off the pitch, or slide a thin foam mat underneath on rough ground.
