  Room for two

  120 cm of width leaves each sleeper 60 cm, close to a UK single, and 200 cm of length covers most adults up to six foot. At 1150 g a double this size is genuinely packable, and the 30 x 12 cm bundle still leaves room in a rucksack for food. The textured face keeps sleeping bags from sliding off when one of you turns.

  Filling it, and the trade-off

  There is no pump in the box. You inflate through the non-return valve, which holds each breath so nothing escapes between lungfuls, and a pump sack or electric pump speeds the job up. Ripstop nylon this light can still be punctured, so sweep stones and twigs off the pitch first, or lay a thin foam mat underneath on rough ground.
