  The 40D nylon carries a TPU coating and double-layer adhesive seams, so it resists abrasion from grit and roots and shrugs off ground damp rather than soaking it up. It is a water-resistant sleeping surface, not a groundsheet, so pitch it on a dry footprint for cold, wet nights.
