  One kit, four ways to camp

  This set works four ways: a hammock strung between trees, a mosquito net shelter, a rain fly over the top, or a ground tent when there is nothing to hang from. The rain fly uses 210T fabric with a PU2000 waterproof coating to shed the wet, and the full net keeps insects out. The 2.8m tree straps are 1000D polyester with 10 attachment points, the carabiners are rated 5KN or 500kg, and an aluminium support pole and two stakes come in the box. It holds a rated 200kg and comes in Orange, Green or Camouflage.

  Off the ground, and warm with it

  Used as a hammock it lifts you clear of the wet, crawling floor, and the net and fly mean you can shut out both the bugs and the rain. One honest note holds for any hammock: it runs cold underneath, since your weight flattens the insulation below your back. Put a sleeping mat inside or an underquilt below and the cold is handled. With four setups to learn, it pays to rig each one once at home before the trip so nothing catches you out in the dark.
