That is the job of our Lightweight hard-wearing trekking trousers: the fabric(94% polyester + 6% elastane) is polyurethane treated, so it blocks wind and holds off heavy rain at 5000 mm. The three-dimensional construction and the elasticated drawcord let you stride and kneel without the cloth pulling back, and the waist stays comfortable over a full day out.
