  One surface for three, not three mats to juggle

  The Large Self Inflating Mattress gives you 192 x 157 cm of shared sleeping surface at 3 cm thick, room for up to three people side by side. Instead of everyone carrying and pitching a solo mat, the group manages one 3.4 kg unit, which cuts down the kit that goes missing and the time spent setting up. The dense, textured polyester resists ground friction and stops you sliding about as people move through the night.

  Self-inflating both ways, honest about the top-up

  Open the valves and the foam expands, drawing in most of its air on its own; a few breaths by mouth bring it to the firmness you want, which is normal for a self-inflating mat. When it is time to pack up, the self-deflating valves let the air out and it rolls into a tube that fits its bag. The seams are heat-welded, the valves are sealed and the attachment points are reinforced. It is a sleeping mat with a water-resistant build, not a groundsheet, so pair it with warm bags for cold nights.
