  What it is

  This is a ground-level air lounger rather than a sleeping mat, built from durable Oxford fabric and sized at 240 x 70cm with a 200kg load rating, so it suits all builds. Lie flat on it for a bivouac nap or use it semi-seated for a trail or patrol break, with raised edges that keep you in position. It works on grass, sand or compacted earth, and at 0.8kg deflated it rolls into the included drawstring bag with a shoulder strap, the kind of kit you throw in without a second thought.

  Honest about the inflating

  There is no self-inflating valve and no pump here. You open the air inlets, scoop air in with a few wide circular sweeps, then seal the ends, and it is ready in seconds once you have the technique.
