  A tarp that covers the whole hang

  This is the overhead cover, not the hammock itself. The 360 by 290 cm span is large, enough to stretch over three to four hammocks or a wide ground pitch, so the rain lands on the fabric and not on you. The PU2000 coating sheds heavy rain, and the diamond-shaped cut sends wind and water off the corners instead of pooling on top. Pitch it high enough to sit up under and low enough at the ends to block driving rain.

  Because a hammock only stays dry if the tarp reaches past both ends of the hang, size matters more than anything.
