  One shelter, four ways

  This kit changes shape with the weather. Run it as an open hammock on a warm night, zip the 360 degree net over you when the midges arrive, pitch the PU2000-coated rainfly above for a downpour, or drop it to the ground as a low tent where there are no trees. The reinforced nylon and alloy support bars carry a 200 kg rating, and the 1000D tree straps give you ten suspension points to fine-tune the hang.

  Rain covered, cold to manage

  The rainfly keeps the weather off, but the one thing a hammock cannot do on its own is keep your back warm. Your weight flattens the fabric beneath you, so cold air passes straight through and robs your heat overnight. A sleeping mat inside or an underquilt below solves it completely. Pitch the whole system once in the garden so the rainfly, net and straps feel familiar, and setup on the trail drops to a few minutes.
