  Space and load for two

  The 300 kg rating and the 260 by 140 cm body are what make this one workable for a pair, with enough margin that two adults and light kit sit inside the limit rather than testing it. The 210T nylon resists the snags and tears that finish off cheaper fabric, and the interior pockets keep your phone, head torch and keys off the ground and within reach. When you strike camp it all stuffs back into its own integrated carry bag.

  Two of you, still cold below

  Sharing does not cancel the hammock's one honest flaw: the underside runs cold. Body weight flattens the fabric, so warm air has nothing to cling to and the night draws your heat straight down. Each of you wants a sleeping mat inside, or an underquilt below, to stay comfortable until morning. The setup takes a little practice with two, so rig it once in the garden and pitching it on the trail becomes quick and calm.
