  At 326 g a shoe, the weight difference shows after eight hours: less drag on the legs on a long approach, less fatigue on a security patrol that never sits down. Airsoft players and weekend walkers get a sole that channels water instead of skating on it, and the flex lets the foot roll properly rather than slapping the ground.

  Underfoot engineering and what to expect

  The rubber compound is the selling point: elastic enough to deform over roots and rock, dense enough to keep its pattern for a full season. No membrane is fitted and no seal against rain is claimed, so the sole sheds water while the upper will wet out in sustained rain.
